Something we never do is breed Chameleons that we know are related or have physical/mental imparements.We will never buy "breeding pairs" that are often advertised on forums which have come fom the same clutch/parents.
We do not promote or agree with the sale of sibling pairs with the intention of breeding from that pair / nor do we promote or agree to the sale of sibling pairs (male/female) to the same individual customer.
We will only sell same sex pairs from any one clutch bred from any one breeding pair. We have sourced our breeding pairs from all over the world so that to the best of our knowledge our breeding lines are diverse and unrelated.
We never hold back babies to "breed back" to the parents to enhance colouration. In our opinion, limiting bloodlines through breeding related chameleons results in weak bloodlines. We aim to breed strong and genetically diverse chameleons.
We will never sell baby Chameleons with any form of mental/physical imperfections. To date we have never hatched a baby with any mental/physical imperfections and have 100% hatch rate. We attribute this to having unrelated breeding pairs.
We believe that breeding any Chameleon with any mental or physical imparement which has not been inflicted by the animal himself (the animal has been born with a physical and/or mental imparement) is effectively "breeding for that specific mental/physical imparement" We only breed fully healthy Chameleons.
We breed for very small clutch numbers. We never "feed up" females so that they gain weight unaturally and are therefore "big enough to breed" . Reproductive Chameleons must have grown at an appropriate/natural rate so that bones have fully formed and vitamin/mineral levels are consistantly stable. This is not possible when breeding growing Chameleons.
Females are not "power - bred" and are never bred under 12 months of age. We expect ANYONE purchasing one of our Chameleons to have similar ethics if they are intent on breeding their Chameleon.
We ask people to be responsible when breeding any Chameleon, wether sold by us or otherwise with regards to breeding mixed locales and breeding sub standard Chameleons.
